Dr. Kristina Zaccaria
All About Me
Dr. Kristina Zaccaria is a skilled and collaborative leadership coach, instructional designer, and implementation specialist. She oversees the implementation of the Competent Learner Model (CLM) in five school districts in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, where she serves as the Regional Coordinator. Dr. Zaccaria works with the CLM Center of Excellence as the Director of Communications and Instructional Design. She has experience working with organizations in the United States and internationally. She also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Special Education and Disability Policy Studies at Pennsylvania Western University.
Dr. Zaccaria received her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from West Virginia University in 2018. She is a licensed Special Education Teacher, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Behavior Analyst, and Certified Competent Learner Model Coach and Coordinator. She has served as a direct and indirect service provider within special education in public schools for over 13 years.
Dr. Zaccaria’s studies and experiences establish her as an effective leader in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in large-scale projects, strategic planning and intentional implementation. Her passion includes improving inclusivity and equity for people with disabilities of all ages. Dr. Zaccaria is a compassionate champion of leaders who amplifies the voices of all stakeholders.
She specializes in developing lasting relationships to share and ensure the implementation of evidence-based techniques and strategies with colleagues, teams, and organizations to enable all people to reach their fullest potential. She has unwavering love, respect, and commitment to the students, families, and communities she serves.
As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Zaccaria is excited to learn about the Ugandan culture. She looks forward to partnering with the Tunaweza Foundation to support and enhance their vision for an inclusive world where persons with disabilities achieve their maximal potential and contribute to society.
